Welcome! My name is Lykel and I’m the host of this Central Art Apartment at the Oudeschans in Amsterdam. Me and my boyfriend (the owner) both agree this is one of the most beautiful, quiet places in Amsterdam, right in the center. We were both born here, I was in front of the house in a houseboat and he was in the house. So we both run the b&b with our hearts and we hope you will feel at home too!

Our house is an old warehouse, originally built around 1650 and very recently renovated. It is located on the Oudeschans, right opposite the Montelbaanstoren, making the view very historic and atmospheric. De Oudeschans is a very quiet area and yet very centrally located. Within just a 5-minute walk you can reach the famous Nieuwmarkt with a nice market and many nice local bars. From there you can walk to Dam Square within 5 minutes. Places such as the RAI or the Amsterdam Arena are also very easy to reach by metro, which is very close by. Amsterdam Central Station is just a 12-minute walk away. There are many nice sights in our neighbourhood, but also a lot of good museums, parks and a nice playground for children. Supermarkets and pharmacies are nearby on Jodenbreestraat. In my opinion the apartment is perfect for families, business travelers and couples. The apartment is very child-friendly and we have a good table to work on. It offers you the comfort and feeling of a luxurious hotel, with the privacy of a cosy apartment.
