Lonneke, my wife, is an interior designer. Together we have a family with two daughters (2004 en 2006) who are in University in Leiden and Nijmegen. I am a biology and physics teacher. I teach in Amsterdam and commute 34 km by bike. My wife and I love Utrecht and have been living in the city since we came to study more than 30 years ago. We are living our dream on the too lovely canal, with the bridges, cobblestone-streets and centuries old houses.

This boutique-style apartment with private entrance offers plenty of space directly on the bustling 'Oudegracht' in the historic city center of Utrecht. The space is close to all the beautiful museums, good restaurants and cafes. The apartment is a loft on the third floor with a very comfty bed. One floor lower is a separate 2nd bedroom for 2 people. The apartment has recently been renovated and has a fully equipped kitchen and a new stylish bathroom with shower and bath with water jets.

As you are one of our first guests we like offering you this complimentary. We love doing this! Climb the Dom tower, the biggest tower in the Netherlands It’s a 8 minute walk / 2 mins bike ride. To climb the tower you need to book a tour online. Visit the largest castle in the Netherlands; Kasteel De Haar about 30 car-minutes or 40 bike-minutes away. Walk around the old city centre (the appartment is right in the centre) You can walk around by yourself or book different kind of tours. Visit the railway museum, at 10 minutes walking distance or a 2 minute bike ride. Visit the Centraal Museum to see Dutch Masters in Utrecht and other art. It’s a 6 minute walk / 2 mins bike ride Visit the Rietveld Schroder House It’s a 27 minute walk / 7 mins bike ride. Rent canoes to explore the canals for 8 euro an hour.
