This comfortable, complete and private house with it's own entrance is half of a beautiful 200 year old manor farmhouse in Ruinerwold (Drenthe). The living room is the former sundays room with high ceiling and old details like bedstede (box bed) doors and old window shutters. The view is stunning: lots of nature, meadow and trees. A quiet road, flanked with old stew-pear trees that blossom beautifully in the spring. The kitchen is very complete and has also old details and a nice view. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, combi-microwave/oven, nespresso, filtercoffee and induction cooker. The bathroom is new and has floorheating and a walk-in rainshower. In the bedroom with old details and a nice boxspringbed (160x200 m). You wake up with private view over the meadows. There is a large private garden with terrace, hammock, drying lines and a bicycle shed with lock.

We are a family with 3 (foster) teenage girls. We live in the half part of our old manor farm and we want to share the other part (the sundays room side) of our beautiful property with other people. Bernhard and Sandra combine their work with caretaking, fostercare, renovating and working in and around the house. Sandra likes to read, garden, plan and organize. Bernhard likes to work in the house, garden or on his oldtimer and plays bass guitar. The kids are creative/sporty/playful. We have a dog, cats and chickens. Our small village is nice and cosy and our neighours are very warm and kind. We would love to welcome you in your private appartment in our house in the beautiful province Drenthe in The Netherlands!

The direct surrounding is quiet en nice. The 7 km long narrow old road is flanked with pear trees. There are meadows, trees, storks (nests) and raptor birds in the sky. In the night it is quiet, sometimes you hear owls. In the surroundings there are nice and old villages, cities, forests, dolmens, moorland and (swimming) lakes. The "Venice of The Netherlands" Giethoorn is near for a nice day on the water. The Drenthe landscape is perfect for hiking and cycling. The beautiful provinces of Friesland and Overijssel are also close by with their nice nature, water and cities. Transport is easy with car and bicycle. But there is also a busstop nearby and public transport in The Netherlands is dense en good. The surroundings has things to do for everyone: nature, water(sports), outdoor, culinary, cities, culture, sports etc. During the year there are lots of markets, events and music in the surroundings
