This super-deluxe houseboat comes with our new sloop that you can use whenever you want during your entire stay. Take a nice trip on the lake, bring a picnic basket, go fishing, swimming or sail to the city center of Groningen to have a drink on a terrace. It's all possible. In short, a complete and luxurious water experience! The Houseboat is tastefully and contemporary furnished. The entire boat is decorated with beautiful wooden Venetian blinds and so-called 'up and down'. This allows you to adjust the sun blinds and your privacy as you wish. In the living room there is a comfortable couch plus reading chair with footstool, a reading table and a cupboard with various board games. For a pleasant temperature there is a pellet stove. When the boat is on shore power you can also turn on the heat panels that hang in various places in the boat. The kitchen has two hotplates, a modern bar with 4 chairs, a Nespresso machine, beautiful crockery, sufficient cutlery and glassware. Of course, all other kitchen utensils are present to be able to cook deliciously. Please note that the water is filtered. Fine for showering and washing dishes, but not suitable for consumption. In the double bedroom there is a huge window through which you have a view of the lake from your bed, that is wonderful to wake up! There are two bathrobes and storage options. In the second bedroom there is a bunk bed with bed drawers and cupboard. The bathroom is contemporary with sink, storage cupboards, toilet and shower. Compact but everything you need is there. Via the outside staircase you reach the upper deck. Here are the solar panels and a beautiful terrace has been set up. Bad weather? The foredeck below is covered and you can always sit there to enjoy the beautiful nature.

We are David and Ciska and sold our restaurant in 2025. However, making people happy and giving them a special experience is in our blood. When we travel ourselves, we love unique and original places to stay in a beautiful environment and preferably sustainable. That is why we like to rent out our Houseboat with brand new sloop to guests who also love this.

Guests really appreciate sailing with the sloop as the most special experience. They really enjoy going out on the water, swimming, fishing or sailing to the city centre of Groningen. There you can go shopping, have a drink on a terrace or climb the Martini Tower. In the area you can go to various museums (Drents Museum, Groninger Museum, Prison Museum) and enjoy cycling and walking. The Zuidlaardermeer tour is very popular, especially because you have to cross by ferry. You will pass an eel smokehouse, which is a real treat. The Drentse Aa National Park is known for its special nature where you can take wonderful walks. From the Houseboat you have a beautiful view of the many birds that live here and (temporarily) settle down. For the younger guests, Sprookjeshof in Zuidlaren or the Drouwenerzand amusement park are very nice. The beautiful brink village of Zuidlaren can be reached in 3 minutes by car and 10 minutes by bike and has nice shops and terraces
