Amsterdam, Volendam, Monnickendam and the Zaanse Schans with its windmills are all close by. There are many museums around, like the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk, The Van Gogh. Amsterdam has many delicious restaurants and there are options closer by in Monnickendam, Broek in. Waterland and Ilpendam.
