I have been living on board this ship since 2008, which has been a shop / workshop for traditional ships in recent years. In 2017 I converted it into luxury group accommodation and b & b. For years we had a traditional sailing ship, with which we sailed with groups on the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea. In the winter we rented the space as a b & b in Rotterdam. I sold that ship and I have rebuilt this ship. I also sailed as a skipper on the water taxi here in Rotterdam, but unfortunately I can not combine that activity with the running of the b & b and group accommodation.
I would like to welcome you on board my ship and in Rotterdam!
住宿信息
Welcome aboard at Rooms on Water.
Rooms on Water is the new b & b on board of my recently renovated ship in Rotterdam center.
In the 40-meter-long former cargo ship, the former ship's hold was converted into luxury b & b and group accommodation in 2017.
There are 6 bedrooms for 2 persons with an extra fold-out bed for a third person (child). The rooms have air conditioning, underfloor heating and an open window (porthole). There is a cozy living room with coffee / tea facilities, board and card games, tourist information and some books about the area and traditional ships. Here too there is underfloor heating, but also a pellet stove for extra warmth and atmosphere. The atmosphere on board is informal and relaxed anyway.
On deck is a roof terrace with a view over the Leuvehaven.
The ship is located next to the Maritime Museum in the museum harbor.
I live in the former skipper's house at the aft deck and can tell a lot about Rotterdam.
Actually superfluous, but of course this is a gayfriendly accommodation.
周边信息
Rooms on Water is situated in a unique location next to the sculpture of Zadkine on Plein 1940, in the Leuvehaven. A few minutes walk from the metro / train, tram and water taxi stops, the Market Hall and the market, the Oude Haven, the Witte de With and the Koopgoot. So many hotspots are very close!
Free parking is possible at P + R Kralingse Zoom (maximum of 24 hours free and you have to pay, and you have to travel by public transportation (7 minutes by subway). Park on the streets is expensive, in the parking garages it is much cheaper. Parking garage Markthal has relatively fine rates (you have to book in advance).
