Suite Palette: Your Colorful, Quiet Corner of Amsterdam Central Step into our trio of playful colour stories at Suite Palette! Located right in the heart of Amsterdam (5 mins walking from Dam Square & the Royal Palace!), we are your golden spot: 10 mins to either the Central Station or Chinatown and the Red Light District. Housed in a 19 century building (with a cafe downstairs!), our freshly-renovated-in-2024 homestay sits on the 1st & 2nd floors. We wrapped our stylish Suite in double-layered glass windows & (almost) soundproofing – enjoy the excitement of the city without the noises. Designed completely by us (a big project with full passion and attention!), each room bursts with artistic flair in different colours (where the name of the Suite comes from!), featuring elegant fishbone floors, ornate mouldings, luxe Auping beds, hotel-quality linens, coffee machines, water kettles and smart TVs in the sleeping areas while modern baths with traditional Dutch tiles and Marie-Stella-Maris goodies in the bathrooms. Fair warning: Embrace the authentic charm! Our quirky Amsterdam stairs are steep – pack light for the climb or otherwise enjoy a good workout!

Suite Palette's Neighborhood: Where Inked History Meets Modern Buzz (Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal) Step outside and you're standing in front of Amsterdam history – literally! Our street, Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, was once a bustling canal (filled in 1884). Look around for the gorgeous gabled houses – they’re originally from the 17th or 18th-century on canal-sides but now charmingly landlocked! This wasn't just any canal, though. By 1600s, it was the beating heart of Amsterdam's printing press revolution. Imagine about the fingers covered with ink and those hot-off-the-press news flying over the city! The legacy is still to be noticed: plaques, old shop signs, maybe even a pavement marker. By the 1800s, it became "Newspaper Row," packed with publishers, printers, and headline chasers.
