WHO ARE WE? We are Daan and Sanne Louët Feisser. Together with our 2 kids (11 and 7 years old) we are the proud owners of the property, the farmhouse and the vacation home! -- HOW DID WE GET HERE? Daan grew up on this beautiful property on the Markermeer lake. As a little boy, Daan lived in what is now the vacation home, and was previously the stall for cows when the property was a farm. Daan’s father restored the farmhouse, where Daan lived as a teenager. We also lived together in the vacation home for 5 years – our first home together before we bought a different home in Hoorn. 8 years later we had the chance to purchase the farmhouse and vacation home. -- OUR DREAM CAME TRUE! We dreamed of making this beautiful place our home, and renovating the smaller house so it could be a vacation home. And now we have Vacation Home Natuurlijk! The vacation home has been lovingly restored and made more environmentally friendly. We hope to be able to welcome you here, and that you will enjoy a wonderful time on our property. Then Vacation Home Natuurlijk! is the place for you! -- HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN STAY IN THE HOUSE? You can have a maximum of 8 guests: * there are 6 beds available for 7 persons/adults (including 1 mattress in a bed drawer (max. 80 kilo)) * and for 2 children there is a cradle/crib/cot in a bed drawer available. -- WHAT DOES OUR VACATION HOME OFFER? * Convenience (bed linens, towels, cleaning supplies and toiletries are all included) * Plenty of options for entertainment indoors and outdoors (for young and old) * Everything you need for younger children (beds, toys, highchair, stroller, playbox, bouncer etc.) * Extra services for an extra relaxed stay (bicycle rental, grocery service, firewood for campfires, workshops/activities, relaxing massage and/or reiki treatment) -- YOU HAVE THE ENTIRE HOUSE TO YOURSELF * Dining room and kitchen (with a view of sheep and a Dutch windmill in the field next door) * Living room (with a view of the garden and dike) * Hall downstairs with a shower and separate toilet * Upstairs with 3 bedrooms and a playroom * Terrace and bicycle storage (the shed is shared with the owners) -- YOU ARE WELCOME TO USE THE GARDEN AND OUTDOOR GAMES AND TOYS (shared with the owners) * Large garden, playground equipment, path through the woods and creek * Campfire area and seating * Outdoor games and toys * Workshops/activities in the Bamboo-garden (didgeridoo or lamp) -- PETS Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the vacation home. -- WOULD YOU LIKE TO READ MORE ABOUT OUR VACATION HOME? THE LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS AROUND THE HOLIDAY COTTAGE • Vacation Home Natuurlijk! is located on the border of the historic city of Hoorn and the picturesque village of Schellinkhout. • And is located on the West Frisian Omringdijk along the Markermeer (also called IJsselmeer). • The cottage has a beautiful view of a traditional Dutch mill, meadows with ditches, sheep and changing crops & animals such as tulips, corn, cows.. • And of the colorful sunrises, the dike and the many free animals on and around the yard.. • From the cottage you walk straight onto the dike to enjoy the view over the Markermeer. • Get a tour of the old Dutch mill! -- GOOD TO KNOW Although the vacation home is in beautiful natural surroundings (lovely views and a short walk to the nearby lake), it is also located next to the “Hoorn 80” business park.
