Rauland is a year-round paradise for those who love the mountains and all that nature has to offer. With its proximity to Hardangervidda national park, it is one of the most popular areas in southern Norway. Nearby peaks are more than 1,500 meters, there are many deep river valleys, and hundreds of small and large fishing lakes, small and large game, berries, mushrooms and various cultural traditions. All this mean that many people form strong and long-lasting ties to this mountain village. Grønlid house, or "the house on the green hillock" as its meaning says, is located in the center of Rauland, near the main road, which makes it easy to find. Even though it is centrally located, it is also very silent. Nearest supermarket is about 5 minutes walk so you can let your car parked in front of the house for free and have yourself a nice short walk. And not only short, there are several beautiful hiking trails, which I will gladly recommend. Nearby is also a public sauna and pool for your evening relax. Newly and completely renovated apartment in Grønlid house offers you a fully equiped private kitchen as well as private floor-heated bathroom. Sleeping area is provided with double bed and garden view. There is also a comfortable couch and small dining area with table in the kitchen part where you can have your meal or watch a TV. Apartment is separated from the main house area, so you will have complete privacy. The apartment is accessible by the key, which is in the key-box situated right to the entrance door to the house. I encourage my guests to use self-check in option, because most of the features is self explanatory. Should you find yourself needing additional information, I'll be probably around or in the house. Remember that this is an old building that I am working on renovating, so you can experience some building materials around the house. This DOES NOT affect the apartment and your comfort; guests happiness is for me on the first place.
