Welcome to Gamle Rise Skysstasjon Experience historical charm in our traditional farmhouse, which served as both a coaching inn and hotel in the 1800s and 1900s. This charming building is the perfect place for a relaxing stay with family and friends. First Floor: A large and bright formal living room with a comfortable lounge area and a long dining table – ideal for cozy meals and social gatherings. A spacious and well-equipped kitchen with a fireplace, perfect for cooking and cozy evenings. A separate TV lounge for relaxation and entertainment. Bathroom with washing machine, shower, and toilet. Second Floor: Five cozy and spacious bedrooms, perfect for a good night's sleep. Private Apartment: At the north end of the house, you’ll find a separate apartment with two bedrooms, a small kitchenette, living room with TV and dining table. A simple bathroom and toilet. This apartment is ideal for those seeking a bit of privacy, such as teenagers or grandparents. A travel crib with mattress, duvet, and pillow is available for babies upon request. Outdoor Area: A large and sheltered outdoor space with a private garden and parking. No view from neighbors, ensuring a peaceful and private atmosphere. Child-friendly area with a swing set and slide for play and fun. Location: Our house is ideally located with direct access from the E6, and some noise from the road and railway in peak season Sleeping Policy: For your comfort and hygiene, sleeping without bed linen – including duvet cover, pillowcase, and sheet – is not permitted. Camilla and Tormod live on the charming family farm Nordistu Rise, beautifully located in Drivdalen. Here, we cultivate potatoes and have invested a great deal of time and care into completely renovating the oldest buildings on the farm. Among other things, we have restored the historic Gamle Rise Skysstasjon, which now stands as a unique and inviting place that combines modern comfort with traditional, historical charm.

Surroundings and Activities Gamle Rise Skysstasjon is located in a stunning natural area with many exciting hiking and outdoor opportunities year-round. There’s something for everyone—whether you want to hike, ski, or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery. Hiking Trails: There are excellent hiking trails nearby that can be enjoyed all year round. In winter, groomed cross-country ski trails run through the forest just 300 meters from the house, where you'll also find a cozy sledding hill suitable for both children and adults. Vinstradalen: This beautiful valley offers fantastic nature experiences. In summer, you can see grazing animals on the lush meadows, and in winter, there are well-maintained cross-country skiing trails. Åmotsdalen: This wild and beautiful valley is just a short drive away and offers the perfect opportunity to explore untouched nature. You’ll find many great hiking trails surrounded by impressive landscapes. Oppdal: The nearby town of Oppdal is an excellent base for both winter and summer activities. Try exciting rafting on the Driva River—a fun adventure for the whole family! Oppdal also offers many hiking and biking routes suited for all skill levels.
