Idyllically located cabin in Tinn Municipality, Telemark with a wide view over Tinnsjøen, only 15 minutes from Rjukan with its UNESCO world heritage sites.
Gausta Ski Center (25 min) has plenty of cross-country and alpine skiing opportunities in the winter and hiking opportunities in the summer. The Krossobanen in Rjukan takes you straight up to Hardanger Vidda.
The cabin has plenty of space for up to 6 people - 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 large living rooms with TV, terrace and balcony. An amazing view to wake up to in the morning. The cabin is an optimal family cabin for up to 6 guests. Right by the cottage you can go swimming. There is a small rowboat available. Please bring your own bedsheets and towels.
Welcome to Håkanes. The cottage was built in 2004, we took over and renovated in autumn/winter 2022/2023. I have worked in the hospitality industry for a couple of years and have a great range og knowledge on "travel convenience". Originally from Germany but have been living and working in Norway since 2006, so speak fluently both languages in addition to fluent English and basic French. You are welcome to get in touch for any questions before, after and during your stay, I am more than happy to help wherever I can.
The cottage is located in an area with well-arranged cottage and farm buildings, in an old cultural landscape, right by Lake Tinnsjøen. It is near the main road (with good public transport, only 2 minutes walk) and yet sheltered and very quiet. In summertime there are plenty of possibilities for hiking, famous Gaustatoppen is "just around the corner" (you can borrow bikes, sup and other summer activity equipment in Gausta Senter). So is Hardangervidda. You can go fishing or take a swim right outside the cottage. If bad weather: Rjukan has a swimming hall and plenty of interesting museums to visit. In wintertime visit Gausta Skisenter with plenty of alpine tracks or cross country skiing trails.
