Property information

A beautiful character villa that has been extended and renovated to offer plenty of space to entertain. Family friendly and safe for the kids. Located in the old part of the village with convenient access to Brooke Dawson reserve and the Heritage Forest walks. It has an open plan kitchen living and dining along with a separate lounge has TV and Apple TV on offer. Wi-Fi makes this a popular option for all the family members. Warm and cosy in winter with the log burner and electric heating. The three bedrooms are located up the hall at the front of the home. The main bathroom is off the living area and has a bath, a favourite with the wee ones. Two aircon/heatpump units have been installed to ensure summer comfort, alongside the wonderful heat of the log fire in winter. Bedroom one has a queen sized bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. Bedroom two has a queen bed also, with sash windows providing great airflow in the warmer summer months. Bedroom three is perfectly set up for the kids with bunks and a single bed and plenty toys and books. If it is outdoors where you wish to spend your time away this house has endless options. From the covered front porch, the large deck alongside the house is perfect in summer or the front or back lawn is perfect for cartwheels and tag for the kids and a nice cold beverage for the folks or a shady nook to read your favourite book.

Neighbourhood information

Hanmer Springs is a lovely small village set in an alpine environment on the edge of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 400 metres (1300 feet). This provides a crisp clear climate, with snow falling during winter on several occasions. The geothermal nature of the area has provided the beautiful Thermal Springs Reserve in which to relax, and it is second to none other in New Zealand. The combination of the colder climate and the thermal pools normally sitting at 25-42 degrees Celsius, or 77-18 degrees Fahrenheit is both invigorating and relaxing. The lucky guests get to soak in the thermal pools when it is snowing (for no extra charge) - how lucky are they?
