There's a café right next door to Aranui Palms, and the charming seaside village features an array of restaurants, art galleries, wine bars and breweries to discover. Keen on bringing your boat? There's enough room for a small boat to be parked at the property, and in just three minutes drive you can set sail from Grossi Point Reserve and find your fresh catch of the day. The Mapua Wharf is a great spot to take in some fresh air while you watch the ever-changing colours of the sky at sunset. The more adventurous can jump off the wharf into the refreshing ocean! Mapua is a popular visitor location, as the hub for the Tasman and Coastal Highway areas. Mapua lies at the mouth of the Waimea Inlet, which is the largest estuary in the South Island, meaning the area is home to a vast selection of wildlife. The Mapua wharf is where most water activities depart from, and another popular attraction is the sea aquarium.
