Located halfway between Auckland and Wellington, Parklands Motor Lodge in Tūrangi offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, just minutes from the Tongariro River and the gateway to Tongariro National Park. It’s the perfect base for adventure seekers, anglers, families, and work crews, with easy access to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Mt Ruapehu ski fields, and world-class trout fishing. We offer a range of accommodation to suit every traveler: Air-conditioned studio and larger one-bedroom motel units for modern comfort and convenience. Budget cabins – perfect for families or groups looking for value. Please note: these cabins do not include bathrooms or kitchens and share communal facilities with the camping ground. Guests can enjoy a meal or drink at Riverside Bar & Restaurant, open from 5:30 pm, Monday to Saturday (closed Sundays and public holidays). Bookings are encouraged to ensure the best experience. All rooms are ground level, with ample parking available for trucks, boats, and larger vehicles.
