Hi, my name is Wendy and I live one property away from Beach Belle, so available daily if needed. I work part time at the local Waihi Beach RSA.
Bowentown is a quiet area of the beach, with a lot of holiday homes plus permanent residents. Our street is a cul de sac and pretty much 1/2 & 1/2 of permanents & holiday makers. As you can see in my photos, the estuary is at the end of our street, where you can watch wind surfers, take a kayak out & go floundering. The Bowentown Boat club is a 5 minute walk away & has a bar & restaurant. There are ramps for launching boats, with a fee for the public, or you can drive 2.3km (7mins) to Anzac Bay & launch off beach. Waihi Beach village is 5.8km (7min drive or 18min bike) & has all necessary shops, cafes & bars. Waihi town and Katikati are both about a 20min drive and Tauranga city is 57km (45min, on a good day).
You have a choice of walking to the ocean beach, paddling/swimming in estuary (depending on tides) or taking the short drive to Anzac Bay to picnic, sunbath & swim. Athenree Hot Springs are 8.6km (10 min drive) away.
