Ian is semi retired and enjoys travelling with his partner Jing (fluent mandarin) and hosting guests in our unique part of the world and discovering and enjoying other air bnbs. The owners reside in the upper levels of this spacious residence, and are available if asked, for advice and support as well as can provide information about local walks and parks and other activities.

Castor Bay Beach and Reserve is literally at your front gate. It is a family oriented area popular for picnics, swimming, a safe beach, spectacular cliff walks, and a fully equipped childrens playground. The reserve is also suitable for ball games, volleyball, cricket etc. This is a high value very safe neighbourhood. Rugby: There is a free bus to the stadium Eden Park from Takapuna on major Game days, and an easy local bus connection to there from Castor Bay. A car is always a definite advantage for exploring Auckland, but there is regular public transport from a bus stop 80m away from the apartment to Takapuna and to Auckland City CBD. 4 mins drive to Milford village restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shopping mall. 8 minutes drive to Takapuna City Centre, 15-20 minutes drive to Auckland CBD.
