Your room is private and secluded at the end of the hallway, with a plenty of storage space to unpack and settle in if you're staying a few days or longer. You'll share the single bathroom, but there is a lock on the door for privacy. Feel welcome to make yourself fully at home. Use the kitchen for preparing meals and you'll have a shelf for yourself in the fridge if you wish to store food. I'm very friendly and I welcome you to make yourself at home! I've lived abroad and been an airbnb or couchsurfing guest many times, and have hosted a few couch surfers over the years as well. I love to travel and explore new places, but it is always the people that make an experience truly memorable. I love to cook and I'm into music and the arts. I've recently welcomed Percy the puppy into my life. He was born June 2025 and is really friendly. He's well trained and quiet, so won't bother you during your stay, but he'd be very happy to play with you!! I'm happy to hang out with my guests and show you a little bit of Wellington from a local perspective, if desired, and just as happy to leave you to do your own thing.

Thorndon is one of Wellington's original residential suburbs, right on the city fringe, with nature on the doorstep. All the amenities you need are within a short walk, including supermarket, take aways, eateries, and public transport. For nature lovers and hikers, there are great bush trails in the hills nearby, which lead to lookouts with sweeping views over Wellington Harbour.
