Big Sky is a deliberate place, created on a hill overlooking the entire Tasman Bay, just north of Nelson centre. Close to town yet feels like a retreat. The grounds are organic, and we grow our own produce here. The house is eco-modern, a minimalist design giving preference to the view and natural vistas while preserving eco standards and practices. We sum it up as Altitude, Attitude, and Gratitude. Enjoy full privacy in our purpose-built guest suites. You are sure to like it too.
At Big Sky Nelson we practice the Golden Rule, applying it to people as well as to the planet. Our grounds are organic, as are the products we use, we harvest sunshine, rain water and recycle, and our car is 100% electric! If you arrive by eco-EV, you can charge your electric car for free!
Many of our guests cancel pre-made plans to travel and simply stay to marvel and relax with our aspect and views. These are truly breath-giving.
Yet if you do want to "get off the hill", within a few minutes drive are beaches, walks, and of course Nelson city with its vibrant cafe's, restaurants, waterfront, nature, beach and river walk... so much to see and do.
