Let me help make going away easy, just bring your clothes, toiletries and food, and you are good to go! We're more than a place to stay! Get immersed in our country life, ride the heritage cycle trail, play some golf, swim and fish in the river, ride our ponies or stay in with our selection of games! Private, quiet and peaceful. Only neighbour in sight is the home owner a few paddocks over. Rural area, cottage is surrounded in paddocks. Every day we are out doing chores with our animals, if you'd like to be part of this you are more than welcome. When you book your stay let us know if you are interested and we will provide a bit of a timetable of when we do things and what to expect, generally though can work in with you. Our timetable changes from month to month depending on what's going on. Never a big job, but can be quite a cool experience, especially for children or those without many country life experiences. Just down the hill from us is Vinegar Hill. Great place to take dogs and/or kids to the water! Mangaweka is not far away and there is river access there as well and a short bush walk.

We love meeting new people, and especially sharing our wonderful lifestyle and animals with others. So many people find peace here and love the serenity, seeing people happy and relaxed makes our hearts sing! We pride ourselves in being great hosts, we are far more than just a place to stay, so if you are wishing to do more here than just sleep, let me know and we can put together a plan of how you can get the most out of your stay! As well as me, there are 4 other people here, my loving partner Jack and my wonderful children, Elliot, Paisley and Willow. We also have quite a few animals, pig, sheep, chickens, ponies, goat, cats and a dogs! We love being outside and keeping busy, our whole property is a work in progressed, we purchased it in March of 2022 and since then we have already made lots of positive changes, renovating the cottage for guests being one of them!

The cottage has pretty much everything you need, just bring food, clothes and toiletries! Our small rural town is 8 minutes away for any last minute essentials you may need. Only a few minutes off State Highway 1, so very convenient for travellers, central to many things too - hikes and huts in the Ruahine Ranges, Mt Ruapehu, 2 hours to Taupo and 2.5 to Wellington.
