Nestled in Raglan’s tranquil countryside, this eco-friendly retreat offers peace and quiet in a modern, sustainable design. Architecturally designed with passive solar orientation, rainwater collection, solar power and natural airflow cooling. We encourage you to enjoy the sunset, harbour and mountain views from the garden and meet our friendly sheep in the paddock below the main house. Just 4 km from town, 15 minutes to world-class surf, stunning beaches, and Bridal Veil Falls. Guests love: 1. the location—close to Raglan yet an easy stop en route to Auckland Airport (1hr 45min), Hobbiton (1hr 20min), Waitomo Glowworm Caves (1hr 20min), Tongariro National Park (3hrs), and Rotorua (2hrs). 2. The peace and quiet - our nearest neighbours are on the other side of the sheep paddock. 3. The coziness and comfort of the furnishings and bed - all natural linen, cotton and wool furnishings add organic textures that are instantly relaxing and a little bit luxurious.
I am a Kiwi. Mother to Nellie (12) and wife to California born Seth. We are world travellers and lifestylers with 1 cat, 2 sheep, 1 lamb and a dog. In my playtime I enjoy yoga, gardening and surfing with my family. We love that we get to host so many different people from so many different places around the globe. We know when we travel, a friendly local with insiders tips can make a stay somewhere 100% more memorable, but we also know having somewhere private to retreat to at the end of a big day, is paramount. A hippy eclectic surf town that welcomes tourists. Filled with artists of all genres. Raglan is adored by everyone who visits. Best known for it waves, but also for its groovy coffee shops and surreal natural landscapes. No convenient public transport. You will require your own transportation to and from. Town is 6km down the road and takes approximately 8 minutes to drive. 1 hour 45 minutes to Auckland airport and 45 minutes to Hamilton airport.
