Beautifully restored Heritage NZ listed 1883 Miners cottage situated in the center of Whitianga the tourist center of the Coromandel Peninsula, Ideal for Romantic Wedding, Honeymoon, or luxury accommodation.
Annie and Bob are a husband and wife owner and operator team, we fully restored Coghill Cottage in 2016, adding romantic, intimate and functional features to this historic building. We both are Volunteer Fire personal in our local community, We love the Coromandel area for it natural beauty and slower pace of life. We recently completed the 800km Camino walk from St Jean in France to Santiago de Compostela.
WELCOME TO THE COROMANDEL The Coromandel is a world renowned holiday destination offering pristine beaches, misty forests, world class fishing, scenic cruising, sailing, diving, kayaking, bush walking, mountain biking, helicopter, aircraft flight seeing and laid-back vibe, The Coromandel is one of New Zealand's most popular holiday destinations. Activities and attractions are plentiful, from fishing and diving to hiking and cycling. You might choose skydiving in Whitianga or a guided sea kayak tour around the coast. For the more adventurous there's Sleeping God Canyon, a 300m vertical descent down a set of waterfalls. Or simply sit and relax in a warm bubbling pool at Hot Water Beach where you can dig your own spa two hours either side of low tide. Don't miss the spectacular Cathedral Cove, the jewel of a protected marine reserve. The Lost Spring: (Only 2 km from Coghill Cottage) Geo-Thermal Ocean village. Indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment, losing yourself amongst the sound of flowing water and birdsong that fills the lush native bush surrounding you.
