To help guests with deciding if the Cottage at 95a is the right place for you, you should be aware that it is on two levels with a staircase up to the bedroom, TV and armchairs. The bathroom and toilet is at the bottom of the stairs.
The Cottage is completely separate from the main house and has its own entrance with total privacy.
Allan and Vanessa know the Matakana Coast well and love to share its attractions with New Zealand and international guests. We have welcomed guests for 10 years to The Cottage at 95a in Point Wells where we provide a private, relaxing space to enjoy. We have travelled extensively around the world and like to communicate with guests from different countries. Allan also speaks French and German if needed.
We can also advise on local restaurants and places of interest.
The Matakana Coast has grown into a popular location for a weekend or longer visit with stunning beaches, a vibrant wine culture with several vineyards, cellar doors and restaurants. The Matakana Farmers Market on Saturday mornings is a must and the three cinemas show all the latest movies. Tawharanui and Scandrett Regional Parks are both within a half hour's drive, while Omaha Beach is less than 10 minutes from Point Wells.
There are golf courses at Warkworth and Omaha with carts available, although weekends are very busy.
Brick Bay Sculpture Trail and Sculptureum have plenty to satisfy art lovers, and Goat Island offers a pristine marine environment with snorkelling and trips on the Glass Bottom Boat.
Warkworth is a small town with restaurants and shops, both boutique and large retail outlets.
