We enjoy sharing our piece of paradise with guests. Dewdrop Cottage is a peaceful retreat on our apple orchard/lifestyle property. Just 500m off the main route between Napier and Hastings , down a quiet, no exit, tree lined street, it is well situated to enjoy the best of Hawkes Bay's attractions and lifestyle. Guests are welcome to cool off in our pool. Guests are welcome to meet the horses, and stroll through the orchard to Pakowhai Park in the evening.
Dewdrop Cottage has been fully renovated since Cyclone Gabrielle. We are not living on the property anymore as our home is not yet repaired. We are only a few minutes away and would love to meet you, so please text when you are on your way! We visit daily to feed the animals and are happy to introduce you to Lightening (mini pony) , Alfie and Spartie (horses) and Iti (Nigerian Dwarf Goat).
Dewdrop Cottage is situated on an apple orchard in the heart of Hawkes Bay Wine Country.
It is a very safe, peaceful neighbourhood. A perfect base for business travelers or holiday makers. Explore the wineries, cycle-ways, Sportspark, Splash Planet water park (seasonal), Te Mata Peak (incredible views, walks, paragliding). Hawke's Bay Sportspark, the Aquatic centre, canoepolo and the Hawkes Bay showgrounds (and Sunday farmers market) are only 2 -3 km away.
Guests can take a 2 km walk or cycle through the orchard to the river at Pakowhai Country Park for a picnic, and from there one can walk, run or cycle along the river bank to Napier or the wineries.
Hastings centre is 5 minutes drive and Napier is 15 minutes.
There is a coffee shop and a restaurant on a neighbouring orchard (1km).
