Kia ora, I’m Keita! My hubbys name is Richie and together we have 3 kids - all 5 years old and under. We also have a fur baby, Kiwi, who is a very lazy but extremely friendly chocolate Labrador. Pukehina is our favourite place to be. We love that the house is located just across the road to the beach access way. We love that our dog, Kiwi, can be with us at all times of the year on the beach off-lead. We love that we can light bonfires and roast marshmellows on the beach (there are no fire or alcohol-ban restrictions). My hubby is also a keen fisherman and diver - he loves setting the kontiki, surf-casting, being on the boat, diving for crays, and gathering pipi and oysters in the estuary. We also love that our house is big enough to have all the whānau (family) stay and enjoy our slice of paradise. It really is your typical Kiwi holiday at the beach! We have friendly neighbors who keep an eye on the property—and they might even drop off a fish if you're lucky! Pukehina is one of Bay of Plenty's hotspot with a white sandy beach, perfect for fishing, diving, pipi collecting, and swimming. Bring all your beach toys! You'll see quad bikes on the beach and road, boats in the estuary or launching off the beach, people surf casting or setting long-lines, and lots of dogs and people walking or biking. There are plenty of parks and playgrounds for the kids that are a short walk away, but they also have carparks. There are 2 cafes, and a dairy for the essentials. Parking at the property: There is plenty of lawn and space to park on the property - 8+ parking spaces on the property & more on street parking.
