Discover a charming garden retreat in Ōtaki, surrounded by lush greenery, fruit trees, and the soothing sounds of tūī, kererū, fantails, and chickens. This stylish bungalow features two cosy bedrooms, a spacious living area with high ceilings and skylights, and a kitchen overlooking the garden. Relax on the private deck and enjoy the evening sun. Just 5 minutes to Ōtaki’s shops and 15 minutes to the beach, it’s a secluded oasis offering comfort, convenience, and tranquillity.
Mike, the girls, our dogs and I live in the main house on the property, so we’re close by if you need a hand. We tend to keep to ourselves, and your part of the garden is nice and private. I work from home a couple of days a week, and Mike’s here full time. He’s an artist, and I love spending time with my pottery. We’re really happy to share our little slice of paradise with you.
This part of Ōtaki sits on the plateau and borders open farmland. The boulevard is a long, tree-lined drive with other rural properties dotted along the way. The area is full of birdlife, with kingfisher and kererū commonly seen on your way down the boulevard. There’s also a well-maintained public tennis court nearby, and the neighbours are friendly, often giving a wave as you pass.
