Haven Cabin is an adults only property (we are not suitable for small children) located near the head of Endeavour Inlet in the Queen Charlotte Sound. Access is only by boat or walking/cycling the Queen Charlotte Track, there is no road to get here. If arriving by water taxi from Picton, ask to be dropped off at Miners Jetty Q5573, the cabin is a short walk from the jetty. Cougar Line offer daily scheduled transfers to Endeavour Inlet from Picton. If you are walking the Queen Charlotte Track we are ideally situated for your first night's accommodation as we are 17kms, approximately 5.5hrs from the start of the track at Ship Cove. Please advise us by email on how you will be arriving and if you are having your luggage transferred by water taxi. The cabin sleeps up to 3 adults, has a separate shower room and an outdoor covered kitchen for self catering. Please enquire about our dinner hampers to prepare yourself or bring your own supplies. If you do not wish to self cater Furneaux Lodge is a 25 minute walk along the track. Please note that we are semi off grid and have a limited electricity supply so cannot offer an electric kettle, toaster or microwave. We do however have a stove top kettle so you can still have your daily cuppa.

We have lived in Endeavour Inlet since 2024 when we moved from Picton into our newly constructed home in October. Haven Cabin was built at the same time and whilst it is next door to our home it is completely private. As your hosts we are on hand to assist should you need us but we also respect your privacy. Originally from the UK, Jo met Craig while backpacking around New Zealand 25 years ago, so as fellow travelers we hope that you will enjoy spending time in the Marlborough Sounds as much as we enjoy living here. Endeavour Inlet is in the beautiful Queen Charlotte Sound and is accessed by boat from Picton, there is no road to get here. The boat ride from Picton offers the chance to see dolphins, seals and lots of bird life on the journey to get here. Endeavour Inlet is a great place for kayaking and swimming in the summer months, and walking or cycling on the Queen Charlotte Track. Haven Cabin offers free use of our double kayak to guests. Also, Furneaux Lodge is a 25 minute walk away for a drink, lunch or dinner. Please make dinner reservations directly with them. So come and enjoy relaxing on our deck with views of the Inlet and the surrounding native bush.
