Candle lighting around the chalet,a king size bed & luxurious bathroom, with a chain hung vanity a sets the scene for romance Wake up and open one eye to enjoy the stunning views of Coronet Peak & surrounding mountains or sit under cover on the large stone patio & watch the rain trickling down the rain chains. Artifacts such as antique milk cans farm implements & wine barrels will transform you to a bygone era Take a short walk along the stone steps & through the tussocks to the private open fire area in the old ruins. Continue along the path to the private hot tub & soak away those aches & pains from a hard days skiing on the nearby slopes. The hot tub is "open air" with 360 degree alpine views & with no city lights there’s no better way to star gaze at night or watch the lights on the mountain The Chalet has a cosy fire heat pump air conditioner free WIFI smart TV microwave oven induction element fridge outdoor barbeque with gas cook top. HawkRidge Estate was purchased in the spring of 2014 by Dougal & Michelle Burfoot. It was a bare 2 aces full of potential. Planting begun with the orchard & shelter trees. With seasons very distinctive in Queenstown; autumn colour, winter snow, spring flowers & summer fruit add to the beauty A shed & workshop were added in 2018, now known as the HawkRidge Chalet a quintessential romantic alpine Chalet but formally known as Scott Base after the Dougal's & Michelle's son Scott, who helped with the original planting & stone work The main home HawkRidge Chateau was added in 2019, designed by Dougal in a modern, rustic style but with influences from the history of Queenstown and Central Otago. Always hoping to build a castle Dougal couldn't resist bespoke candle lighting and heavy wooden doors. The High Country Rooms, The Alpine Suite and the HawkRidge Chalet were opened to guests in Nov 2019 ​Dougal & Michelle enjoy welcoming guests to their very special home Guests staying for 2 or more nights are greeted with a Welcome Basket filled with local delights. A local bottle of Pinot Noir wine, cheese, crackers & chutneys complimentary breakfast of cereal, toast, local jams& fruit

You’ll be in the midst of the cycle & walking trails as these cross at the edge of the gate, including the world famous Lake Hayes track only 3 minutes away. Ski Fields - Coronet car park is only 20 minutes away, the Remarkables car park is 36 minutes away and Cardrona car park is a 40 minute scenic drive up the “must see” Crown Range.
