We are thrilled to introduce our new listing "Heron Hideaway" named after the 2 herons that nest in the nearby trees. Our organic property is a 1 hectare slice of paradise, 6 km from all the wonderful eateries and unique shops that make up Takaka township.
Our 30m2 studio is stylish and cosy, handmade from beautiful timber and recycled pallets. (very inspiring to see what can be done with pallets!) It boasts incredible estuary and ocean views and a large deck to gaze at it all from. And if your lucky you will be blessed by witnessing the herons swoop close by as they leave for fishing in the morning and return home in the evening.
Heron Hideaway features a most beautiful COMPOST toilet (as we believe in conserving the planets precious water.) The toilet is 5 metres from the studio and the shower is 8 metres from the studio. The shower is accessed by going down some STEPS off the deck. Please note the shower is an OUTSIDE shower with a beautiful bush view . We think it is important to connect with the wonder of our natural environment.

Heron Hideaway is 10 mins walk to a beautiful swimming beach and only 7km to Takaka township. It is a perfect place from which to explore all of Golden Bays beautiful scenic wonders.
