Hi! Thanks for taking the time to find out about our wonderful newly renovated BnB. Veronica and Mark would love the opportunity to host you.
The name Lala Salama is Swahili and in English translates to "sleep well". Veronica was born in Kenya hence the link back to her early years where the local language was Swahili. Both Veronica and Mark have travelled extensively and the one thing that has remained important to us was always a good nights sleep hence the name Lala Salama Bed & Breakfast.
Refurbishment of the BnB was completed late 2024 as part of renovations throughout the property. The BnB area has been completed to a high standard providing comfort for our guests.
The BnB is an easy 10 min walk into the Cambridge CBD accessing Tivoli Cinema, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and all your general shopping needs.
During the day Veronica teaches at the local Montessori pre-school and Mark is a Business Development Manager working with Mortgage Advisers throughout the greater Central North Island. We have lived in Cambridge for about 20 years and know our town and surrounds well having experienced most things the region has to offer.
There are lots of things to do in Cambridge and the surrounding area, and the nearby iSite is a great place to start for further information and bookings. Do ask us for our recommendations on things to do, places to see, and where to eat. Cambridge has some excellent restaurants, cafes and bars catering for many tastes.
The beautiful historic St Andrews church is 100m away with the pathways around Lake Te Koo Utu Reserve just beyond. The shared cycle and walkway that runs from Cambridge to Hamilton is nearby along with many other shared paths that you can access.
