Positioned in the hills above Waipu Cove, we offer a tranquil and modern animal-friendly base in historic Waipu, close to the beaches and town. The perfect spot to explore sunny Northland. If you'd like to bring your friendly dog, we can accommodate your furry friends. Our location is very quiet: no traffic noise, just the occasional sound of surf and birds, not just for horse lovers. Waipu Cove is a safe, patrolled beach in summer only an 8 minute drive away. This is a modern, high quality, purpose built loft above a lifestyle-property barn. Features include all top quality Miele appliances including dishwasher, heat pump, stunning granite countertop, tiled throughout, quality mid-century Danish teak furniture. There is a comfortable deck to relax on and enjoy the views, and occasionally watch the horses being trained in the arena. There is a king size bed in the master bedroom. Additional guests are in the lounge. The beds are a fold down double couch, reasonably comfortable with an added roll-out foam topper, and two roll-out trundle beds, suitable for kids but not comfortable for adults.

We live in the main house on the property, but we're tucked away 80 meters from the lodge, barely visible behind rows or trees, offering guests privacy. If requested, we are happily available for local information. Please note that the accommodation is a loft above our barn. The concrete pad below may be used occasionally during the day to saddle horses to ride in the arena, but we don’t keep horses in the stables. If you require complete privacy, please let us know and during your stay we will endeavor to keep away from the barn as much as possible. Thank you :-)
