Love Akaroa Retreat is a luxury escape for 1-2 adults. It is tastefully furnished and features a retro cinema room. Relax at the end of the day with your favourite movie and popcorn, in a purpose made cinema room for 2. The retreat is located on a hill overlooking the native bush and the ocean. Love Akaroa has a beautiful master bedroom with ensuite, and the deck off that bedroom features an outdoor bath from which you can gaze at the stars at night, or listen to the native birds by day. The large kitchen/living area opens out onto a large terrace featuring an outdoor lounge suite and dining setting from which to enjoy the surroundings. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering, with tea, coffee and popcorn making facilities provided. As well as the ensuite, there is a second bathroom featuring a rugby shower.
Claire and Nigel first discovered the idea of a 'couples' retreat when they found themselves needing a break from their busy professional lives and their four children! We took over the Love Hanmer Retreat in 2016, and, based on it's success, we opened the Love Punakaiki Retreat in 2017. We love the feedback of our customers and we love the concept of people relaxing in our properties that each pride themselves in a certain point of difference.... something you wouldn't necessarily get to do at home. At Love Akaroa, that is sitting in the retro cinema room for two, enjoying a movie, or soaking in the outdoor bath under the stars.
