Tucked down a quiet cul-de-sac and sitting on absolute Lorenzen Bay waterfront, your holidaying
won’t get much better than in this family-friendly, humble yet perfectly comfortable lockwood holiday home.
With direct access to the bay via your own private walkway, you can paddle board, kayak or just
frolick in the calm waters at your leisure. And if relaxing on dry ground is more your thing, you
can enjoy serene ocean views from the kitchen, dining, living, master bedroom and elevated deck.
Built-in the popular Lockwood error of the ’90s, this home is warm and cosy with a true kiwi bach interior style. The house can sleep up to six people across three bedrooms. An expansive deck off the dining and living room captures the beautiful north facing sun and includes a large outdoor dining table, chairs and covered in BBQ area. There are plenty of board games, books and puzzles to keep everyone entertained when you’re taking a break from the water, and the Smart TV along with WiFi provides options to watch your favourite movie on those more chilled family evenings.
The house has three bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and bath, separate toilet, large open plan dining living area and a fully equipped kitchen with stovetop, oven and microwave.
Without a doubt the highlight of this property is the incredible uninterupted views of Raglan Harbour. Add on top of that the private walkway to Cox Bay - the perfect famliy swimming spot at high tide or to launch your paddleboard or kayak. And at low tide explore the flats for sea creatures or take a walk to Raglan Wharf.
Whether your plans are surfing, swimming, mountain biking, walking, boating or just enjoying the Raglan vibe, you'll be well placed to make the best of your time here.

PLEASE NOTE
Bay View Bach is located on a quiet cul-de-sac street and down a private driveway. Off-street parking for 2 - 3 cars and space for a boat (please request) and other sports equipment.
Please note this is a true kiwi style bach and although perfectly comfortable has its quirks and character due to its age. Lockwood homes do tend to creak when heating and cooling through out the day.
There is a basement garage and additional room that is locked for the owners of the property only.
All linen, towels and basic amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, tea, coffee, carton of milk) are included in your nightly rate. Please bring your own beach towels.
IN THE AREA:
The highlight of the properties location is the direct access via private walkway to Cox Bay. This is a tidal bay and at high tide you can enjoy swimming, or paddleboarding. At low tide you can follow the bay on foot to either Lorenzen Bay or to Raglan Wharf to pick up you fresh fish n chips for dinner.
It is a 5-minute drive to the centre of Raglan and approximately a 25-minute walk. The local surf beach and surf points, Mount Karioi walking tracks, Mountain biking tracks, Bridal Veil Falls are all a short car ride away.
Rubbish - an allowance has been made for 1x full blue rubbish bag. Additional rubbish must be taken with you or dropped at a local refuse disposal station (details in house info folder).
Recycling - an allowance for 1x full recycling bin has been made per stay. Additional recycling must be taken with you or an additional charge per box will be applied for disposal.
Electric Vehicle Charging- We are unable to accommodate electrical vehicle charging at the property, there is a fast charging station location around the town hall on Bow Street.
