Hit the slopes at Turoa or Whakapapa, cycle the Old Coach Road, or explore Tongariro National Park’s incredible hiking trails. Whether you’re here for adventure or relaxation, Maungatapu Studio 2 offers the perfect base for your getaway. Please note that there is another unit on site "Maungatapu Studio 1" that can also be booked on the Bachcare note that there is a security camera, placed in the outdoor area that will be operating for added security during your the property has unfenced access to the pond, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water. Situated at the south end of Tangatau State Forest and Tongariro National park, this town sits next to the south-western side of Mt Ruapehu. Only a short 5 minutes drive to Ohakune, this is a perfect spot to base yourself for some winter skiing or snowboarding. Also open in summer it's a great base to check out the many mountain bike trails
