Quiet, self contained property on lifestyle block where we breed alpacas. Only 2 Km from Feilding town centre - winner of most beautiful town award for 14 years. 7 minutes to Manfield Park race track and exhibition centre. Cottage contains gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and laundry facility. Free Wi-Fi and Sky TV. Plenty of parking for cars and trailers. Can accommodate horses overnight.
We came to New Zealand from the UK 20 years ago and started in alpacas 10 years ago and have a small herd of quality animals now. Guests are welcome to help feed them or lead them around when they come to stay. In Winter we recommend bringing gumboots if you want to do this! We usually have babies (cria) on the ground from January. We also have a small selection of NZ alpaca goods for sale. Bob works here all the time keeping the lifestyle block tidy and ticking over and Jenny works part time as Nurse Lecturer at Massey University. We enjoy meeting people from all over the world and New Zealand.
People who stay here enjoy the peace and quiet but also the accessibility of restaurants, cafes, a boutique cinema and the Coach House Museum in Feilding. There is a Farmers Market in Feilding every Friday morning and tours around the largest sale yards in the Southern Hemisphere on the same day. Whanganui is 45 minutes away and Palmerston North only 20 minutes. Feilding has a cycle track around the town and a wide variety of boutique shops as well as 2 supermarkets.
