Our property has a special place in the history of tourism and hospitality in Fiordland. Robert's ancestors were some of the first people to settle here in Manapouri and from early on realised that the region offered huge potential for visitors from all over the world. Fortunately for us their vision has endured and we are still able to host travellers in the same house as Robert's great grandfather did 130 years ago - making our accommodation unique in New Zealand as the oldest accommodation house that has been continuously run by the same family. We provide an authentic hosted bed and breakfast experience in four spacious ensuite rooms. We encourage you to unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet that Manapouri offers. Our rooms don't have TVs but we do have superfast fibre internet to ensure you can stay connected.

Manapouri is a small quiet village with around 250 permanent residents located on the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage Fiordland National Park. It is a lovely place to unwind and relax and enjoy the magnificent views. There are plenty of walks around the area. There is a small shop, petrol station, cafe and bookshop. The Lake to Lake Cycle trail is close by and bike hire is available in Te Anau, a 20 minute drive from Manapouri. Manapouri is the departure point for trips to Doubtful Sound.
