Ohope Heights is the bottom level of our three level home in central Ohope right opposite the Surf Life Saving Club. The self contained apartment has two bedrooms with super king comfortable beds. The apartment is always only rented to one couple and will only be full if there is four in the group booking. We live above the apartment and we know that unfortunately the sound proofing between floors could have been better so occasionally you may hear us move around. We can tell you we will make sure this is minimized.
The apartment has superb views, air conditioning in the living area and one bedroom plus Sky and a smart TV for your entertainment. Coffee machine, Webber BBQ are also at your disposal. Breakfast is no longer served but there are two cafes within metres of your room to enjoy breakfast at your leisure.
One final thing about the property is that because it has superb views the home is set up high therefore we do have a very steep driveway. Please don't be phased by this. Just make sure you are in low gear and drive all the way up. We are the middle home at the top of the drive. We have parking to one side of our garage.
Linda and Tony Bonne are both professional people.
Linda is recently retired as Head of Social Sciences at Whakatane High School and loved teaching. She is involved in many organisations and currently the chair Of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Tony has lived in Ohope for over 60 years and his passion and enthusiasm is as strong as ever for the region. Tony was Mayor of the Whakatane District for twelve years, volunteer Coastguard radio operator and like Linda very involved with the community. he currently is a salesperson for Ray White Real Estate.
Ohope Beach is our bit of paradise. Ohope Beach has 11 km of safe beach and Ohope Heights is only five minutes drive to Whakatane the gateway to White Island. Ohope Beach was voted AA,s most loved beach in 2014 and in 2017 was voted in the top 10 beaches by Trip Advisor. In 2020 was voted the most loved beach.
There is a selection of eateries/cafes, and art type shops to check out.
