Ono is a brand new home, purpose-built for rest and relaxation - a five minute walk across the sand dunes from Peka Peka Beach. Resting beside a small lake, the main sounds you will hear are the sea, birds and an orchestra of frogs. There are two generous bedrooms, king sized beds and fine bed-linen. The wood burner fire and outdoor living spaces make it the perfect weekend getaway. The furniture and furnishings are a quirky collection, carefully curated to ensure it is a lovely place to stay.
This is a quiet rural/residential neighbourhood of mostly permanent residents. We enjoy close proximity to the beach for boating, swimming, walking, surfing and biking. There is an abundance of bird life both native and introduced. They are our friends and we value them. Ono is surrounded by great walking and biking tracks. If biking is your thing then bring your bikes! Peka Peka Beach is pretty good for surfing if the conditions are right. Guests have access to the whole property. The lake is shared by three properties. It is lovely to look at but probably not so great to swim in. Children must be supervised anywhere around the lake. It is deep!!
