The 28 room Parehua Resort was originally built in 2005. In late 2021 they left the Peppers brand (Accor) and are now a privately owned property still delivering top class service and facilities. The team pride themselves on their excellent customer service, the cleanliness of the Resort as well as the local food and wine. Martinborough in the Wairarapa is famous for it's wineries. Jump on a bike from here or one of the vendors in town or do a traditional wine tour in a vehicle. Outside of wine there is plenty of great cafes and restaurants in the village. If you feel like being a bit more adventurous be sure to check out the Patuna Chasm walk located around 20mins drive from Martinborough. In the right season be sure to check out the amazing Lavender fields. Look up the local events which are on throughout the year including Toast Martinborough and the Martinborough Fair. Take a visit to the nearby towns of Ngawi Fishing Village, Cape Palliser (lighthouse and seals), Castlepoint (beach and lighthouse), Carterton, Greytown, Featherston and Masterton.
