We have a unique farm setting. Our cottage is situated by a redwood tree walk on our property. We have sheep, cattle, goats, chickens and pigeons on the property and with the surrounding countryside, it is an amazing place to stay. We are only 10k from Whakamaru, and 35k from Taupo where you can visit Huka Falls, Lake activities, Maori Rock Carvings, excellent cafes and restaurants. We have 11 acres of mostly trees and the birdsong is amazing. Kinloch is 15minutes away and has excellent swimming and boat ramps. We are close to Pureora Forest and other great walks and and bike trails.
Rotorua is less than an hour away and has some amazing tourist activities. Waitomo Caves are 1 1/2 hours away and a great day trip.
This accommodation is run by John, Deb & Wayne. We have all had experience in the accommodation sector. John and his late wife Treive, had a successful accommodation business in Omori for 5 years. We love meeting people from all nationalities and will make you very welcome. Treive and John have travelled the world & Deb & Wayne have travelled NZ extensively and therefore are very interested in your own travels. We will support you by answering questions and offering you tips re travel in Aoteaora New Zealand.
We are approx 10 mins from the Tihoi Pub which is a wonderful place to meet the locals and enjoy their meals and hospitality. Whakamaru is also about 10mins away and the Hydro Dam is there along with some excellent walking and biking tracks plus the Dam Cafe which is worth a visit. Pureora Forest is a must do if you enjoy biking or hiking. The Rimu track is close by and also the Great Lake Trail. Taupo is 35k away and there are numerous attractions there. Lake cruises, Bungee, Huka falls and other Lake attractions. Kinloch is 10 mins away with an excellent boat ramp and sandy lakeside area. Tokoroa and Rotorua are within 50mins for many more attractions. We are very central to everything here
