Upstairs floor in a cute cottage, separate entrance, in landscaped gardens set back from the road. We welcome couples, families, and pets with prior agreement. King-size bed. Double bed settee. Breakfast is available for 15 dollars each per day. Electric bikes are available for hire at 40 dollars per day per person. Unfortunately, we have found that there is a fair amount of extra cleaning needed after dogs have stayed so we are going to have to charge 10 dollars per dog :) Please note we do have a caravan on the property for overflow, should there be too many people for the loft or the occasional accidental double booking. This will be available for a further cost per night.
We are a friendly family comprising Graham, myself and my mother-in-law Pat who lives in the flat below the Rail Trail Retreat Loft. Our daughter Madi has just gone to London to au-pair and our son Jack is at Poly in Dunedin so is home during the holidays. We have 2 friendly, but yappy, fox terriers Jazz and Foxy, and a cat called Smiggles. We are happy to meet and greet but there is no need as the cottage will be open and ready for your arrival. We love meeting new people and hope you enjoy your stay.
We are right on the Central Otago Rail Trail so perfect for cycling and riding. There are also many wineries in the area if that is your preference. Rail Trail Retreat Loft is right in the middle of Alexandra and Clyde which both have their fair share of amenities. Locally there is a golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts and much much more. Even an ice rink in the winter.
