The property is a large and roomy private residence with the upstairs apartment dedicated to guest's comfort plus peaceful 5 acre grounds, that overlook the Pacific ocean and Napier city. Mark and Shelly Witchalls live on site downstairs with their small dog Pippi whose job it is to guard the gardens from rabbits and be canine PR manager.
Mark and Shelly live on site and are experienced hosts who have expert knowledge of Hawkes Bay. They respect privacy but enjoy helping others
The Bayview/Eskdale area is a quiet rural area north of Napier City 10 minutes. It features wineries, beaches and is famous for its fresh fruit orchards that grow stone fruits,, avocados and citrus. The area has beautiful sea views of Hawkes Bay to Napier Port and Cape Kidnappers. It has a mild Mediterranean climate. Access the Hawkes Bay Cycle trails, fishing spots and walkways. Drive the whole length of Seafield Road to Puketapu and its great country pub and river swimming hole. Take the longer scenic drive via Seafield Rd to Mission Estate, Hawkes Bay's best winery restaurant for lunch or dinner, open 7 days. NZ's oldest winery.
