A short distance to the city with many local attractions & just 1-2 hours' drive to our most popular northland destinations, making it a wonderful hub to explore the beautiful north.
We have a 'welcome book' with local information and also a printed guide to take with you of places of interest.
Although right on the bypass the apartment is quiet & spacious with enough parking for 2 vehicles.
The space is a quirky 70's style (what it lacks in finesse, it more than makes up for in character, comfort & size, and has everything you should need to make your stay comfortable.
Our Wi-Fi is fiber with good speed and there is a laptop friendly workspace with monitor in the lounge.
We have a dryer available which we are happy for you to have minimal use of. There are also several launderettes within a 10-minute radius.
The bedrooms both have Queen beds - but there is also a single bed in the lounge area, we are happy to make up if it is required.
We have been hosting for several years and love meeting new people and hearing about their countries, towns, wherever they come from. Everyone is unique and interesting.
We are also mindful not everyone likes to chat and only engage if you wish.
Retired now, we enjoy walks with our wee dog (who is not allowed in your space) catching up with family, travel when we can get away and gardening.
Guests comment on the locality being within walking distance (for those that enjoy walking) to the City and Town Basin which has a variety of Restaurants & cafe's and of course the infamous Hundertwasser.
Also, the amount of walking tracks (listed in the places of interest guide), which range from easy to challenging.
They also love the many and varied beaches that are 1/2 hour to an hour's drive.
The kids love the local pool and playgrounds and fun facilities available.
