Our cosy, recently fully renovated retreat (including kitchen and bathroom) is perfectly placed for exploring Tongariro National Park — guests love the warm wood fireplace that heats the whole house, the well‑equipped new kitchen, mountain views of Mt Ruapehu, and the fun game area with pool table and darts; located in a quiet, walkable neighbourhood near restaurants, shuttle pickup points and local shops, the home includes clear check‑in instructions, storage for outdoor gear, off‑street parking, cosy bedrooms with extra blankets and hot water bottles, and attentive, fast host communication — ideal for families and active travellers returning from the Tongariro Crossing, skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking or trekking.

I enjoy exploring the Tongariro region’s trails and volcanic landscapes, photographing native flora and fauna, gardening, cooking local foods, and learning about New Zealand’s history and culture. I’m passionate about the Tongariro Crossing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and trekking, and I love sharing tips on the best routes and conditions. I also enjoy welcoming guests to our home and helping them experience the best of National Park — from outdoor adventures to stargazing — meeting people from around the world, offering local recommendations, and ensuring visitors have a comfortable, memorable stay.
