Welcome to TAT's Place. After 26 years in the military, I (Tony) decided to buy a motel, as I love to meet new people. A few years ago, I sadly had to sell the motel to pursue a new venture in my life, and since then, I have realized just how much I miss running it. So here we are, opening up a very small-scale enterprise. We are excited about the prospect of interacting with a diverse range of travelers and providing a level of comfort that evokes a sense of being at home. I would probably describe myself as a keen recreational fisherman who rarely gets the chance to go fishing and an electrician with a sense of humor that is unmatched.

With a short 2-minute walk to the beach, you will enjoy the beautiful sands of Coopers Beach and the shore lined with stunning Pohutukawa trees. Just a 2-minute drive away, you will find the majestic little Mangonui, where you will also find the world-famous Mangonui Fish Shop. Grab some fish and chips and dine on the beach. It is truly magical. The local area features a vibrant dining scene, with options ranging from a popular Thai restaurant and a famous fish and chip shop to a restaurant and a highly rated casual dining spot, Jessie's, serving pizza and delicious meals. Additionally, Remarkables Cafe offers a beautiful breakfast by the sea that is truly outstanding.
