Te Huis is a purpose built two bedroom house located on the Northside of Kauri Mountain. Big elevated views and a very private and secluded spot. The house backs onto a native bush reserve where you can be lucky to spot a kiwi at night. If you don't see it you will most likely hear them calling! Te Huia has both an eastern and western deck area. Perfect for a sunny breakfast and for BBQ times in the evening. This house really is a sun trap. Contemporary furnished with high-quality cotton linen and towels. We have private walking tracks onsite which takes around 30 mins to complete. Different amazing viewpoints offer seating to allow for a rest stop along the way while taking in the big views. Private chef catering, both in-house and preprepared versions can be arranged.

Whangarei Heads is well known for being a nature lovers paradise. We have two of the top day walks and short walks in the country right here in our backyard. The area also boasts some incredible white sandy ocean beaches with the 6km Kauri Mt Beach being a mere 8 min drive from us. As Whangarei Heads is a peninsula you will find an array of sheltered inner harbour coves as well. We provide all local walks and beach information in a comprehensive compendium upon arrival at the house.
