The Tinker’s Cottage, Clyde, is situated in the heart of the Historic Precinct and within walking distance of the cafes, restaurants, hotel and shops. The Central Otago Rail Trail, Wineries and Lake Dunstan are also close.
This little schist cottage is one of the very early cottages of Clyde and was originally the home of Tinker Rae, who mended pots and pans for the early settlers. It later served as the Maternity Home for Clyde with a resident midwife
Most guests park their vehicle on the street outside the cottage for convenience but off street parking is available
