Debbie and I are both immigrants to New Zealand although we have been in New Zealand for some time. Debbie is from England and Rudi from the Netherlands. We live close to New Zealand's prime beaches with excellent surfing, fishing, diving and snorkelling opportunities. We love that we have access to both surfing beaches as well as child safe beaches. We enjoy visiting the local vineyards and restaurants.

With world renowned, top golf courses just around the corner, you won’t be short of golf courses to choose from. There are 4; Tara Iti is for those invited to play there, Te Arai Links however is right next to it and available. These are rated number 5 in the world. Then there is Mangawhai Golf Club, Wellsford Golf Club, or Waipu Golf Club, these are very affordable and great to play too. If surfing is your passion then Te Arai beach is the place to go. There is a surf school that rents surf boards and can provide lessons. There are great tramping (hiking) areas like the Te Arai Regional Park, Mangawhai Cliff Walks or the Waipu Forest. Waipu Caves Scenic reserve also hosts a number of caves to explore. Choose from guided tours or explore by yourself.
