As of now (July 2025), we are the 2nd out of 160+ certified passive houses in New Zealand that offer a guest room. Offering forest views, first residential ICF certified passive house, experience the amazing warmth and comfort of triple glazing, automated exterior roller shutters, filtered water system. Fully equipped kitchen (shared), lounge (shared) and dining area and bathroom. There is off-street parking for your convenience. This spacious guest room (located ground floor) with forrest/ hill views has a queen size bed, table and chairs. It is a minimalist style room with no TV but Wi-Fi available in case you need to be online. A kettle for tea/coffee, a separate fridge and 1 bathroom with a large shower available. 25m2 is your space and just a shared hallway to access the garage and entrance door. The stay offers bed linen and towels. Outdoor kids play equipment is also available, while guests can also relax in the garden.

This is the perfect place to base yourself for your trip to Orewa and with only a 35min easy drive (non-peak hour) to Auckland central in New Zealand. Auckland Airport is about 60min (non-peak time) from the property. This is an eco-home, near at a dead-end road with very little traffic and therefore peaceful. At the end of the road, you can take a beautiful bush walk and in less than 30mins you will be standing at the wonderful award-winning Orewa Beach. One of the top beaches in New Zealand with lots of entertainment to offer (restaurants, watersports etc). Public transport (Bus) nearby available.
