Dauin is a very laid-back place and the local people a very friendly and warmhearted. It is approximately 35 minutes drive from the airport and 20 minutes away from Dumaguete City. Dauin has the best dive sites in the Philippines, several marine reserves are situated along the coast and the best known Apo Island. The beach is welcoming for a nice romantic sunset walk. The peaceful town of Dauin can be visited in just a few minutes walk. Non-divers can enjoy snorkeling, visiting waterfalls, hot springs, lakes, mountains and enjoy the local food.
