Several marked trails (for hikers, bikers, and in winter for cross-country skiing) lead up to Wielka Sowa. Complex “Riese” (Walim & Osówka) — a mysterious set of underground tunnels, caves, and WWII-era projects. You can explore guided subterranean routes, experience cooler temperatures underground, feel the echoes of history, and see impressive engineering in unusual settings. Fortress of Srebrna Góra — one of the largest mountain fortresses in Europe. Built in the 18th century, with many forts and bastions, a central Donjon, and extensive underground passages. Touring the fortress gives a vivid sense of military history, strategic architecture, and offers sweeping views from its heights. Other local explorations: forest walks, quiet viewpoints, small mountain villages with character, trails through woods and ridges, nature observation, sampling local restaurants serving regional food, and enjoying fresh air and peaceful surroundings.
